If you ever bought raspberries, blueberries, or any type of berry and one week later you open your fridge to a carton of moldy berries, try this trick. Before learning how to properly store my berries they had a life span of 5 days and now they last 2 weeks without turning colors. I now buy berries at Costco without worrying about them molding quicker than we can eat them! Try it out and thank me later!
- Dump the berries in a bowl and toss them in ½ cup of white vinegar and 2 cups of water. Don’t move them around too hard or they’ll become mush.
- After a few minutes of soaking, put the berries in a colander and rinse under cold water
- Let the berries dry on a paper towel, gently patting them
- Store the berries in a sealed glass container
